Joining in on a Photo Tag Challenge...

Okay... I'm doing my level best to avoid tidying up around here, as well as putting off putting everything away where it belongs after our 3 weeks vacation...
So I've been just catching up on blog reading and relaxing.
As you do after a vacation.
You rest from all the resting.

So anyway, I came across Nancy's blog post over at Southern Blessings, and I decided to take part in her "photo tag" challenge, and at least give you something to look at while I'm still working on the draft of "My vacation Part 2".
With pictures.(which are coming from California soon... because my son swears that the memory card was mailed yesterday. He also swears that he never touched my 2 bags of Reese's miniatures, but there ya go... He fibs when it suits him.)

Now, Nancy didn't exactly invite me to participate in the photo challenge, and I wasn't one of her chosen 8, but in spite of my lack of ambition around the house this morning, I want you to know that I'm what you might call a "self-starter" when it comes to stuff like this...
Like jumping in when I haven't even been invited to jump in, but I'm sure Nancy wouldn't mind anyway. Because she's so sweet that way.

Anyway, here are the directions...

1) Go to your photo files, select the 8th photo folder.
2) Select the 8th photo in that folder.
3) Post that photo along with the story behind it.
4) Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same!
Easy peasy!

Port Campbell

"The Bay"

We had gone to Port Campbell for a weekend away with our friends Miz K and her husband Mr. R... and because my new camera was still brand new to me, I went more than a little snap happy. I took pictures of seaweed and moss covered rocks... Seagulls and cliff faces. The ocean and sky and sidewalks and cars and pine cones and stray dogs and people sitting outside cafes... as well as the accommodation that we stayed at and lobster that we bought to share. I swear that I took about 100 photos that day, and I had a ball doing it.

And as luck would have it, the 8th picture in my "Port Campbell" folder was at least recognizable and "shareable". Because if Nancy had asked for picture # 9 in folder 8, you would have gotten a photo of a dismembered lobster with his brains hanging out. Which - for some reason - is not something I would have wanted to share with y'all.

Now this is the part where I'm supposed to tag 8 people to play along. And I'll do that. But just in case you want to join in, just do it, okay? Because sometimes rules are just made to be broken... ya know what I mean?

Now here are the 8 people I'm tagging:

1) Sherri from Just Me

2) Alison from Edelweiss Cowgirl

3) Karen from Fresh Fixin's

4) Momlady from Bright Blessings

5) Diney from Older mums are fun

6) Becky from Becky and her babies

7) Joolz from Simply Joolz

8) Sue from Home to the World

And if you want to join in? Just GO for it !

Rules are made to be broken, and you know that you want to!

My favorite things to join in on are those that I haven't been invited to!

That's a nice looking bay! The eighth picture in my eighth folder is a lathe. So I'll decline to play along. No one wants to see a lathe.

:( I wanna participate, but when I got my lap top fixed they replaced the hard drive. All I have are pics of the water tower and some desert flowers (which reminds me I need to copy to cd)Ok I'll look on my facebook see if I have eight albums, if so I'll go from there ;)

OK this one isn't hard. I can do easy peasy. I can do upsie daisy too, you know anything simple! I got one problem, MAC's don't do folders for photos they are just in a line and since there are over 1400 of them now where would you like me to start? I may have to sorta random pick one. I'll look around.

Oh dear, Katie, you really better let me post a random pic other than the 8th one of the 8th folder! Seriously! That pic is a close-up of one of the features in my kitchen remodel back 4 years ago. It's more of a documentary photo, not one for sharing. It's not even pretty!

So here's my idea--let me post a different picture or even better, let Pam or Marilyn's Money post something instead of me. What do you think?

And, thanks for tagging me, Katie. Is it because I haven't posted anything in a coon's age? Not that I haven't wanted to. In fact I even had a post all ready to go after my birthday celebration in April, but somehow it disappeared into thin air in cyberspace and I've haven't had time to write it all over again! Aaargh!

Thanks for tagging me! I'm at work now and my photos are on the home computer so I'll have to do it a little bit later.

I'm glad you joined in! I would have tagged you, but I figured you were really busy just coming back from your trip.

I love that picture! It's so beautiful! Definitely glad I didn't ask for #9, lol! My number nine wasn't so great either!

Thanks for tagging me - I haven't got around to it yet, but it's on my list of things to do when I get back after the wedding celebrations! I hope my 8th photo in the 8th folder is going to be as scenic as yours and not a photo of the cat's bum or something!!
