We will never forget...

“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor.
We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. “

~ President George W. Bush, November 11, 2001

We will never forget...

We lived 20 minutes from the Pentagon...and a number of our friends just barely escaped the building that day...crawling through fire and debris. I will never forget. Thanks for this beautiful post! Love you! Janine XO

I was on total bedrest while pregnant with my first child. I remember seeing all the news -it was all that was on tv for days. Very horrifying :(

I was in the car with my hubby driving to Robe to go price a car. We had the radio on and there were news grabs and you could hear people screaming and crying and they were reporting that there were several plane crashes around the country. When we got back home, I turned on the TV and basically watched it all unfold for the next two days. I don't think there was normal scheduled programs on the TV at all for the first 24 hours at least.

So chilling and so very very sad. I will never forget it.

I was home alone working on the computer. I called my husband after the second plane hit. He was at work and didn't know what was going on. I couldn't make him understand what was happening. Because up to then, something like this would have been unimaginable.

I was planning a week to Mt St Helens with my husband. He was at work and I was to meet him there with all the gear. I turned on the t.v to check the weather. It was a beautiful morning here and in NYC. Needless to say the borders closed, the sky grew quiet and we went to a local remote place to reflect.

A lovely tribute Kate on this sad day...

It is my dad's birthday today so I remember this horrific event well.

I remember waking in the morning to the reports on the radio, and was glued to the TV and radio for days in total shock at what had unfolded that day. The whole world changed as we knew it that day...
