Is my cooking THAT bad?

I made Falafels last week, and they were so yummy! A bit of a pain to make, but definitely worth the effort.
Now, I don't know if they freeze well, but I froze them anyway and when I was debating what I would make for dinner tonight (my first child-free night all week) the Old Guy said:

"How about the things you made last week?"

what "things"?

"The things in the freezer"

Hun, there are heaps of things in the freezer... what are you talking about?

"Those round things."

What round things? Chicken parcels?

"No"

Meatballs?

"No"
Which freezer? For heavens sake ... Do you mean the one in here or the one in the shed?

"The one in here - where you put the balls."

What are you talking about then?

"You know, those things... Those f-ing awful things."

WHAT f-ing awful things? I don't have a clue what you're talking about!!!!
Are you complaining about my food?

"Noooooo ... I like most of your meals... well some of them anyway.
I just just think we should have those round ball things you made last week, with the peas in them!"

Peas? PEAS? I didn't make any... OH !! you mean the chickpea things?

YES! The chickpea f-ing awful balls ! That's what we should have!

Ohhhhhhh... you mean Falafels!
"Yeah! That's what I said! Those Fu**awfuls!"

So... I guess we're having f-ing awful things for dinner tonight
Which from the sounds of it, is nothing new.
And I think it's time to get the Old Guys hearing tested too.

I think you should make up sample boxes and send them out...dry ice would work...then we could all decide if they're f---- awful, or really quite tasty!

I'm laughing just thinking about the box that could arrive...dry ice and all!

That is so funny. I love falafel too. I've never tried making it cause my "old man" would never eat them. He is one of the pickiest eaters that are alive. I hope they were still good after defrosting them.

OMGracious... toooo funny!
You ought to tell him that the least he can do is learn how to say it if you're going to be kind enough to give him some.
...BUT, then again, that's why you have your following ~ you are so kind.

And from this day on you will both call them f-ing awful balls not Falafels. LOL

Very funny! I've never made them or had them before but I'm no fan of chick peas so they probably would be f'awful!

I love those F awful things. Ate them all the time when I lived in Georgia and there were good Middle Eastern Resturants. Do not live close enough to any here in Washington.
Sharing the recipe?

ROTFL!! Why does that sound like a conversation I would have with the husband?!

We went to eat at a little sandwich shop near my office. He was looking at the menu and said "What is a coochie?" Excuse me? What? I asked. "A coochie?" Ahhh, you mean quiche! Gotta love em!

Oops, forgot to mention two things
1. if the f-balls are easy, then I'd be curious about a recipe too!
2. Never did say how you inspired with your salmon burgers/steaks recipe. I saw quick and easy and I liked. Bought some cans of it and wam-bam... wow, they were good maam!
Husband liked too! Now I keep it on hand for whenever.
So, see ...you AFFECT people!
