What's worse?

Finding a spider on your towel, when you're standing there nekkid, wet and shivering...

Or finding spider parts... (namely legs and mooshy bits) when you're done drying yourself?

I've had two showers now.... so I know I'm nice and clean anyway.
Still shuddering though.

EEEEKKK!! I don't know which is worse, but I go ballistic at the sight of any kind of bug. Now, when my girls were little, I would tell them, "Spiders are good bugs. They eat nasty bugs." And I know it's true, but I still can't believe it deep in my heart. I think it all goes back to when I was 12, and I swear a spider the size of a coffee cup saucer crawled onto my bed in the middle of the night in January. I rolled those blankets up tight, put on my winter coat, and curled up in the corner for the rest of the night. Arachnophobia? So what?

We have alot of Black Widows here in the desert. If I see a spider, I usually check to see what kind it is. If it's not a Widow I leave it alone. If I see a spider crawling on anything I wear, sit on, work on or walk on is fair game.

Gotta ask, how big? what color? and is it poisonous?

And then....squish it if it is over 1 inch in diameter.

Those are my rules, no looking for love in Jen's house. If you are a spidy, stay away.

Katidids, Good, we'll get those abs in shape for ya, in no time!

Marjie, EEEK! But at least you saw it I guess. I didn't even see this one 'til I found the mooshy bits!!!
Repeat after me:
Spiders are our friends... spiders are our friends... Now STOMP on it!

Sherri, We don't have Black Widows, but we have Red Backs, which are like widows except with their spot on their backs.
This one had fuzzy legs, but there's no tellin' what it was.

Jen, How do I know? Eeeeppps!
I never saw the sucker until I found the legs and juicy bits on the towel. I don't know if it was actually on me or not, but I sterilized myself with another HOT shower... believe me!

Thank you for the vivid picture I now have as I'm getting ready to go shower. If I wasn't already OCD I will be now ... checking all the linens, towels ... eeeekkk is right!!! Personally, I think finding the little bugger alive is better ... then I stomp the hell...o out of it!! But finding HALF a worm in an apple or a dead weevil in what I thought was dark grains in my Malt-o-Meal is worse ... seems to me if it has anything to do with food MUCH WORSE!!!

Spiders aren't so bad, but roaches - can't stand them. I wonder if rubbing yourself down with Crisco, would keep the creepy crawlies away...I'm just asking.

Finding half a spider in your sandwich bite. Argh!

I bet you're still feeling icky. I'm shuddering just thinking the thought - a whole spider is probably the better find though. Otherwise I'd spend the rest of the day wondering if I got all the little eyeballs off my scalp.
*shudder, shudder, shudder*

my word - flyser
"Come into my parlour" said the spiderser to the flyser.

I prefer no spiders full stop.

But if I had to choose it would be a whole one until I saw it and then it would resemble the mushy bits you found on your towel.

I would rather a snake than a spider mainly cos you can usually see a snake, but spiders hide in very interesting places, especially redbacks. I have to check my daycare toys and equipment regularly for those little critters.

I think maybe you were lucky it's winter and spiders seem to be a bit more docile if I can use that word for a spider.

Bet you check your belongings carefully from now on. Spiders love clothes that are left on the floor too.

I believe the parts would be worse. Just wondering what part of me has the rest of them on it. Nothing worse than a spider leg in the crack!

He probably saw things he never saw before! He died with a smile on his face! Bet you're gonna shake that towel next time!

I'm voting for spider parts! As in, OMWORD!!!! Where's the REST of it?!

That's happened to me I now always shake my towels before I dry myself lol.

A spider dropped down from the ceiling on his web right in front of me while I was blow drying my hair the other day! The blow dryer sent him spinning and that sent me scurrying!
But to see spider body parts in a towel I'd just dried myself with? I'd have taken two showers as well!
