What do you do, when you want one of these...
And the only place you can find them, is the local Mocha Shoppe...
And the guy who owns "The Mocha Shoppe" seriously needs to be turned into the police, because he's commiting robbery by charging $3.50 apiece for them?
Well, I do have a recipe, but it was one of those moments where I wanted a peanut butter cup right NOW, and I didn't want to spend a single minute making them.
Besides, I was fresh out of chocolate.
Well, the right kind of chocolate anyway.
I did however, have some stuff in the cupboard, so necessity being the mother of invention, I came up with my own recipe.
You take 2 of these:
Some of this:
Slap some of the peanut butter on one of the squares of chocolate, slap the other square on top, and then do this:
Good... but not really what I was looking for.
Too much chocolate for one thing.
Or is that heresy?

Wow! 3.50 each? Is that Hiway robbery or what!
I think your invention looks wonderful.
The first time I visited the States 5 years ago I came across Reeces Peanut Butter Cups and fell in LOVE...lol....thank goodness I had my fix and to over them eventually because they are deadly wicked...lol

Homestay Mama... so I'm spending $1300+ to go home and buy 'em on the cheap, just so I can save $3.50! Am I clever or what? ;)

Khris... Aren't they great? Luckily, I have willpower, so while we're home, I'll only buy 21 of 'em. One for each day we're there. (just joking!)
I don't believe there is such a thing as too much chocolate.
3.50 like is that equal to our money? I was wanting chocolate today so when I was checking out of Home Depot I got a Almond Joy. So fresh, soooo good! That looked pretty good what you came up with too! At the Dollar Tree you can get the 4 pack of Reeces for 1.00 and I can eat them all in one sitting! But, I better stop that cause I gained about 8 lbs when I went to the doctor Thursday.
TOO MUCH CHOCOLATE!?!?!
You blasphemer.
You gotta do what you gotta do! I think you're pretty ingenius!
I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't have me some Reeses PB cups once in a while! You came up with a good second place choice!
Man! You mean you can't even find my favorite candy there without paying a crazy price? That is so wrong! I love my Reeses!
When I first visited the UUS in 1970 I became addicted to PB cups-they weren't available at all in Aus. then so I had to make my own! I know what you mean about the cravings, I would LOVE a custard tart! I know, I can make my own but somehow it isn't the same!
