National De-Lurking week...You're invited!

Did y'all know that this is Nation De-Lurking week?
Well I didn't either, but I think it's a great idea!

With that little feed-jit thing on the right side and the counter right under it, I can easily see that folks from all over are poking their heads in and having a look at my blog.... but the numbers - when it comes to "commenter's" - just don't add up.
With 20 or 50 hits - or whatever the total is for the day, there are quite a few "lookie-lou's"...but most of them never say a word.
Well, I don't have a problem with lurkers at all, because I've been one (and still am sometimes)...but hey, why stand outside and just peek in the window? C'mon in and join the fun!

So I thought I would have a little party and invite you all to come on in, set your sweet selves down, have a cuppa and we'll have a little visit.

You're welcome to say as much or as little as you want, but it would be nice if some of you lurkers just said something as simple as "hi" and where you're from. Share a little something... from just a quick hi, to what delectable goodies you would bring to the tea party. (I'm partial to watercress sandwiches, myself. )
Plus, there's the added bonus of giving me new blogs to check out and to follow as well... Because I just love discovering new blogs and making new bloggie friends!

See? There is a method to my madness. :o)

( That's a LOT of cups up there and I hope we use them all... but who's going to volunteer to do the washing up? Hands up anyone?)

I'd gladly help do those dishes! And I'd bring iced lemon cookies to the tea party.

I hate dishes so I'll leave that to you but I will chat with you guys while you wash and dry. I'll bring some of my famous chocolate slice to share!

I love people who comment too because it links to their blog and gives me something else to read. I had a big long 'to do' list last night but ended up spending hours just reading blogs - and you'll be proud to know I tried to leave as many comments as I could :)

If your going to serve tea, I prefer mine sweet and on ice please. How was your weekend Katie? Good I hope. What was the outcome of your letter to the parents or your charges, you never did tell. Oh ya and with that many people stopping by, I'd make them wash their own dishes. But then that's just me. :)

Hmm... It's lookin' good! We'll have a real party going on, won't we?
Iced lemon cookies (slurp)
Scones (and I'll make frsh butter and whipped cream)
Chocolate (I knew this post would bring Rubies to the party!)
Chocolate Slice (Oh my, yes!!)
And I hope Sun Tea is okay... it's the only kind I drink. :o)

The letter to the parents? welllll... The very first day, a dad of 2 was 65 minutes early and he swore he would pay me the $70 the next day... and I haven't seen him since! Not to worry, the collection agency has his bill now. ;o)
Everyone else seems fine with it, and the cash flow has improved sooo much!
*whew*

Now, back to the party!

I have three dishwashers, so we can just pop them all in there. But some of those cups are so pretty, I might just not give them back!

And I wish some of my lurkers would say hi, too!

Hey TM! You're a pal and I can't thank you enough for writing over at my place. Some weird stuff's goin' on and I'm relieved to see I haven't lost touch w/you.

Thank you for always giving me such a big pat on the back. I've been a little discouraged and when I make people laugh it is SUCH an encouragement. I wish I could tell you (adequately) how much it means, friend. :)

I hope you meet bunches of new people. I love when I get comments from new bloggers. It's so much fun to go and check them out!

Hmmm, I'll send the hubby over to wash the dishes! He does them here, don't see why he couldn't there!

Well hello there, Tatersmama!

I've seen your name on a few blog comments but for some reason had never clicked on your name. Just did when I was over at Tania's Outback. Nice to meet you. You sound like a real fun gal! You got me giggling about the whiskey and tequila!
Have saved you in my 'favourites' already.

Cheers - Joolz - South Australia
