That when I'm absolutely exhausted and my guy offers to do the dishes for me... to just say NO!
Now, can anyone explain to me how this man can use hot water, have dish detergent bubbles up the yahootie, plus use a sponge and the scrubbing pad.... and still end up with dried-on breakfast drink?
Never mind.
This is a man who only washes the tops of plates, since that's the only part we eat off - so the rest of the plate must be clean, right?

hmmmmmm. That's really all one can say about a job like that. Well, one can say a lot more but one should be careful what one puts in writing about some else's husband.....
And you need to visit me and read about how wonderful you are.
LOL! Yours and mine went to similar dishwashing schools! Mine learned that if you place the pieces on the floor, let the dogs do the work, it's good to go!
Saves water, soap and electricity!
...or atleast company will stay away ;)
haha thats a boy for ya!
Robynn... oh my goodness... you did it to me again! *blushing*
Barb, And he wonders why I never want to eat at HIS house? Rosie and Twiggy look just a little too content and well-fed for my liking - plus HIS plates always sparkle!! *URP*
Staci, Yeah... unfortunately ! lol!
Totally understand where your coming from - I have 3 sons and a husband - when they do the dishes you ALWAYS look into the bottom of the cup BEFORE you drink out of it! (please don't ask me how I know this - I just know- a friend told me once that had boys - yea that's better)lol!
Angelena, kind of on the same note...
When my guy makes me a cup of instant coffee, you can actually just add more water when you're done and have another cup... because he never STIRS it!
There's always a sludge in the bottom of the cup.
HE however, has found that if you let the sludge dry, it can just be chipped out later. *urp*
You are so funny!! At least he offered though!
Too funny! What is it with men??
Another thing I have learned...
Men are only good for ONE thing.
Standing right where you need to be at any given time.
WHY he has to hang over the skillet when I'm trying to cook, is beyond me!
That made me laugh. I fear to ask my hubbby for a drink, because he has in the past grabbed a dirty glass. So I guess the saying is true "Men are just boys only older"
My boys actually do rather well washing dishes, it's getting them to put them away where they are supposed to go that get's on my nerves. Just wait till they get their own place's and I get to put their dishes away :D
Yeah, living with a house full of international men, I can say that men are much alike the world over! That goes for bathrooms too. The toilet seats in my house are always 'standing at attention,' so to speak. LOL
Eiiy-Yii-Yi! ...if that's how you spell it.
LOL!!!! I feel your pain. I think they do it on purpose so they won't be expected to ever have to do a household chore again. It's a conpsiracy I tell you.
LOL! I think it's a ploy so he doesn't get asked again! Sneaky little devil!
Wanda, I have a glass (an old faded plastic glass) that I keep on the counter for the cats. He's used that glass a dozen times (for me only, I've noticed) so maybe he's trying to kill me? ;-)
Sherri... WHY do they always say, "but I didn't KNOW where it's supposed to go?"
ggez, put it back where you FOUND it in the first place!
Homestay Mama.... Boys are trained by women, aren't they? So why, when they get older, does all that training go right out of their heads??? It just doesn't make sense!
Bz, Well that made perfect sense to me, so it must have been right ! lol!
Katherine, I think you're right there! It IS a conspiracy!!!
Wife, But he always VOLUNTEERS ! I know better than to even ask...LOL!
How funny, that looks like how my daughters do dishes.
Just a note to Bz. Actually it's Aye aye aye. My other half is Mexican and I got into trouble when I tried to spell it like you did one day (eyeroll) I'll never make that mistake again :)
At least he doesn't work in the dish room at a restaurant or does he?
OMGoodness - I am sooooooooo glad that I didn't have abdominal surgery! If I had...someone would be dialing 911 right about now, cause I would have busted a gut!
Love you Katie Tatie!
*sigh* How much I can relate.... yet, it is the thought that counts... and even though I would recommend you to not ever drink out of that cup... you didn't have to wash it... atleast the first time...
