Photo Challenge.

I decided that if I didn't move my cute little arse, I was going to sit here like a bump on a log and fall asleep, so I decided to take the 100 Step Challenge.

Now, with the "100 Step Challenge", the idea is to take your camera in hand, walk 100 steps and then take a photos of what's there right in front of you. Good, bad or indifferent.
Sounds good in theory, right? And I've seen some wonderful photos on other people's blogs.

So, camera in hand, I suddenly thought, "where do I start the 100 steps from?"
From right here at the computer desk? From the back door? The front door?
Just walk in circles around the house? No one told me where to start from!

Anyway, I opted to start just outside the back door and this is what I came up with. The photos were taken down the yard, approx 20 feet from the back fence
("Oh Grandmother, what a big bare yard you have." said Little Red Riding Hood)
(now I think that if you click the photos, they'll enlarge.
But I'm not sure. They wouldn't for me.)

One of my 3 beautiful huge old Gum Trees. I just love the bark on these beauties!

Rose hip.

I can see a lovely pot of rose hip tea eventuating from these babies!

Old birdcage / yard decoration
NO birds have ever been in this birdcage,
but the wild birds are always so curious!

Mrs Tweetle.
Her babies were in the tree too, but were too bashful to come down and say hello.
(click to enlarge... She's gorgeous up close!)

And THIS?
This is what was ON my camera when I downloaded the photos.
That's Jasmine on the left and Willow on the right, sleeping on my lap.
The old guy must have taken a couple of photos
(and poorly executed ones at that)
when I was going through the migraine.
Jasmine hates Willow, so I'm glad he got this special shot...

I decided to spare you the pic of me sleeping with my mouth wide open and drool down my chin.
Gotta love my guy.
He knows a photo op when he sees it.

Now how about you doing the same? Grab your camera... take 100 steps and share whatever you come across !

Oh why don't we all just take pictures of our spaces more??!! I TRULY LOVE this. It makes me feel more connected. Let's take 10 steps, too, or 20. I need to do more pics!!! Thanks for the challenge and for doing yours. And when I feel like walking again next year, I'll take some and post them.

YES! I would love to do that!!
And who says we even have to take steps? Snap a pic from your chair, your bed or whatever.
Ten step Tuesday's or 30 step Thursday's.... Alphabet days... take a picture of an object in or around our home that starts with the letter of the day.
Please...Let's get to know each other better!!

Mrs. Tweetie is so very pretty and I love the kitties. Some of my cats don't get along either.

Loved seeing pics of your place! And what a beautiful bird! (couldn't enlarge it though -have learned if you move pics around, they lose their ability to be enlarged, so I download pics 1st or... write or cutNpaste the words around the pics --I just don't move the pics).... ANYway, enjoyed the pics and the bark on that tree was interesting- makes me wonder if it sheds like a Sycamore. I though about taking a pic of the front of my refrigerator and having a once a month thing where some part of the house or property is photographed and shared. I thought about the refrigerator because everyone has one and they all look different since most people stick SOMEthing to them.
Yes, is neat seeing more of your spot in the world!

What a great idea!! See...your Mojo was working well enough to go turn the "Lightswitch" on!
As soon as it thaws out and my muscles want to venture 100 steps beyond their norm...I just might do this too!
It's great to see more pictures of your environment, to get a look into YOU!
It is 21 degrees at the moment, I'm cozy warm right where I am so I am NOT about to walk them steps just yet.

Tatersmama, we're on the same wavelength! I, too, went walking today with camera in hand and just finished posting about it on my blog. Then I came here and read that you had done the same thing! LOL But, your post is a lot funnier than mine. Just love your humor and wish some of it would rub off on me!

I couldn't get yours (or my) pics to enlarge, but I see from Bz's comment what we did wrong! (Thanks Bz!) So now I'm going back to re-do my post over again!

Can I leave the kidlets behind when I take my 100 steps? I reckon the pub around the corner would be 100 steps - nah I'm buggered. I'll just eat 100 squares of chocolate instead.

Pam, I sent you the directions for making Rose Hip tea... did you get it?

SassyDog, Jasmine was an "only child" for years, and she hates ALL the other cats, tho she is starting to like to sleep with some of them. Funny animals, aren't they? lol!

Bz, So THAT'S the trick! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I did a fridge post way back in the early days, but i think you've tempted me to do another one!

Barb, Who says you have to go outside? ;-) You could even do just 50 steps, stop and snap and then another 50 an snap again.
It sure as heck beats going outside when it's that cold!

Homestay Mama, See? great minds think alike! I loved your photos and I think I'm going to head back and re-do mine as well!
But you know what? I love you just the way you are!
