The far side of sanity, Up in them thar hills, United States
About me? Well shucks… here I go then.
I used to live in Australia, but then I decided I didn’t want to be there anymore, and I wanted to come home. so I came back to the beautiful Northern California foothills to be closer to my son. I married the boy next door in August of 2013, and in June of 2016, we moved to the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains and I couldn’t be any happier. Well, I could be, I guess, if I could just figure out how to get my first cup of coffee into me, without actually getting out of bed. And if I could have more cats. And some more chickens. And maybe a baby pig. Life would then be perfect.
With the sad state of the dollar exchange right now, our overseas trip plans are on hold, but I'm praying that we can make it over in the springtime. Say a little prayer for me...
Oh sweetie!!! I pray you get home soon!!! It's beautiful!!
We're trying to convince our parents to move here, LOL. We went from a city of 62,000+ (a suburb of a major city of 500,000) to a town of 9,000. There isn't even a walmart here. Even though we love the area, we miss our family dearly & this is the first we've both been so far away.

It must be hard being away from home. Do you have any plans in the near future to 'visit'?
The photo's are beautiful.

Oh Tatersmama, I feel for you.
Your family are so far away, and what beautiful countryside it is. This time of year is also harder, with Christmas coming.
I miss where I come from too, but unlike you, I can just hop in the car and arrive there in four hours.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
lots of hugs
Tania
